I was going to make You’re Beautiful this week a little bit, well, more materialistic. The arrival of a rather lovely new handbag was tempting me (even the children stroke it) but today the fog has descended in my head and material things, although nice don’t seem quite as worthy.
Today at school we had an art sale. Oooh, get us! Paying for our own children’s artwork in aid of Shelterbox - a charity that we have been introduced to by the Rotary Club in St Albans who do pretty amazing work supporting some of the children at school who really need it.
So, with the Cheetah Keeper’s sister’s permission, here is my “You’re Beautiful” for the week – her picture to help raise money for people who need it more than we do. She’s 6, struggles with her fine & gross motor skills, is in pain because of her Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and produced this. I love her warmth and thoughtfulness to the end of the world and back.
